Both Dumont and River Dell came into Sunday’s encounter at the Ice house off of lopsided shutout losses the previous day. They also knew that they were each facing a team that they could be competitive against.
The Huskies were looking for their first win of the season, and while they didn’t set the ice on fire, they got a couple of breaks that turned into goals in the first two periods. Those scores held up as they got that elusive victory, a 4-1 win over the Golden Hawks.
