Some weird stuff going on at the Cooper house, the lights flickered off and on 3 times in a minute and now I have no internet, but that’s Ok, laptop still works.
Earlier this week, the boss and I were talking and he was saying how Saturday was one of the biggest and busiest days of the season so far. He was right.
* Emerson/Park Ridge wrestling coach Stan Woods set the all-time wins record today as the Cavos won 3 matches in a quad. Congrats to Stan and all of the Cavos through the years.
* Just because I like him and today was a big day for him, Highlands swim coach Tom Viscardi won his 100th meet in his career.
* I am happy to break the news that IHA softball 2nd baseman (maybe SS this year?) Carly Piccinich has verbally committed to Notre Dame (and she promised me football tickets).
* And before I forget, tomorrow morning, Wallington HS is hosting a “Championship Ring†breakfast at the school. Its 8 bucks for an all you can eat buffet breakfast, with the proceeds going to state championship rings for the soccer and football teams. I wouldn’t miss a party in Wallington for nothing, and you shouldn’t either.
* But today, you had basketball tournaments up the wazzoo in Bergen and Passaic…and I was with Mark at River Dell for the 2nd round of the Bergen girls.
