The 56th Bergen County baseball tournament has its 24 teams after the selection process was completed on Monday night. Bergen Catholic was awarded the top seed in what many consider a wide-open affair that begins with eight first round games on Wednesday.
The first round games will be played on Wednesday, weather permitting (Thursday is the rain date). The Round of 16 will be played on Saturday at three sites.
Northern Highlands returns to the county tournament for the first time in five years and Pascack Valley is also back in the field for the first time since 2010, when they won the tournament.
