Immaculate Conception, a team playing an independent schedule that has done its best work outside of North Jersey, will be the top seed in the Bergen County girls basketball tournament.
The Blue Wolves will have a first round bye in the 27 team field, along with No. 2 NV/Old Tappan, No. 3 Saddle River Day, No. 4 Teaneck and No. 5 Ramapo. Queen of Peace, the last unbeaten team in North Jersey, is seeded No. 8, and defending champion Immaculate Heart Academy is seeded No. 7.
Play is scheduled to begin Saturday at the home of the higher seeds, but because of the forecast snow, teams have the option of playing Friday night. In the event that the forecast snow forces postponement, the games must be played no later than Monday.
