Senior standout Phoebe Mattana helped Dwight-Englewood earn a wild card bid to Thursday’s Bergen team championship.

Bergen Tech, Dwight-Englewood, Glen Rock and Waldwick received “wild card” bids to Thursday’s Bergen County team championship at Darlington GC in Mahwah.

The BCCA is utilizing a new system, which I refer to as the “Bennett System,” that measures team scores relative to a course’s degree of difficulty. The top 16 teams received automatic bids, and four wild cards were chosen by the BCCA golf committee.

Bergen Tech, Dwight-Englewood, Glen Rock and Waldwick were ranked 17th through 20th, respectively, by the Bennett System, and that was a key factor in their selection, said Park Ridge AD Chris Brown, the BCCA golf liaison.

Below is the list of the 20 teams and their ranking:

6. Old Tappan

7. Ridgewood

8. River Dell

9. Tenafly

10. Pascack Hills

11. Paramus

12. Westwood

17. Bergen Tech

18. Dwight-Englewood

19. Glen Rock
