Here’s a recap of North Jersey hockey on Saturday, December 7…
RIVER DELL/WESTWOOD 3, FAIR LAWN 2: River Dell’s Greg Rassam scored the game-winning goal off an assist from Jason Conroy with 1:34 left to move past Fair Lawn on Saturday and improve to 2-0-1. Prior to Rassam’s game-winner, River Dell’s Thomas Melvin gave RD a 1-0 lead in the second and Jack Schaefer put the Hawks up 2-1 late in the second. Mark Williams and Justin Ritter each supplied game-tying goals for the Cutters, who fell to 1-2.
PASCACK VALLEY 3, OLD TAPPAN 2: Pascack Valley’s Erik Sullivan scored the game-winner with 1:23 to go off assists from Matt Truglio and Kris Giordano as the Indians moved to 2-1 Saturday night, their second straight win since an opening night loss to Howell. Giordano gave PV an early 1-0 lead off a Sullivan pass just 1:21 into the game and Chris Zariello put Pascack Valley back on top in the third off an assist from Freddy Brignola. Old Tappan’s Dillon Fuelner scored twice, once in the first and again in the third — both of which were game-tying goals. PV’s Jonathin Chin made 24 saves in the winning effort.Â
