Brian Sisti became the first player in the North Jersey coverage area this season to break the 30-goal mark as he scored three times and added four assists as Pascack Valley warmed up for a big showdown with Ridgewood tomorrow with an 8-1 win over Dumont.  The Big North Gold Division victory put the Indians into third place and makes the Ridgewood outing a battle for the third seed in the upcoming Gold Cup playoffs.

Sisti has been on fire lately and now has 32 goals and 26 assists for an area-leading 58 points.  He had a hand in each of the first seven Valley goals as the Indians moved to 12-6 overall on the season.  Dumont is now 4-15 overall and battling with River Dell for the eight spot and a Cup berth.

Pascack Valley was patient early on, knowing that if they kept throwing shots on goal the scores would come.  Jimmy Hartman did a good job of keeping the Huskies in the game, but Sisti finally broke the ice with his first goal at 6:32 of the opening period.  John Scarano tipped home a Sisti shot from the left circle to make it 2-0 at 10:33 of the first and it stayed that way into the middle period.

Steve Miller had the first goal of the stanza and Sisti completed the hat trick with the next two, one a nice blast from the low left circle and the second an unassisted goal.  That one made it 5-0 after two periods.

Sam Komrower, Devon Palmieri and Rob Sawyer (his first of the season) closed out the Valley scoring in the third.  Anthony DiPaolo spoiled the shutout with a Dumont goal at 7:50 of the third.

Joh Forte had eight saves for the Indians, while Hartman had 36 for the Huskies.
