The DIGS 17 Red Club Volleyball team, comprised primarily of North Jersey high school girls, continues to raise the bar on the East Coast. Three tournaments to date in this Club Season and three first place finishes. The most recent occurred over the Presidents’ Day weekend in Washington, D.C. The DIGS 17 Red Team played in the 17 Open Division of the Capitol Hill Classic, a major East Coast Volleyball tournament. There were 48 teams from 10 different states competing in this Elite Division. The DIGS team won every match compiling a total game record of 18-1 on their way to winning the championship. Nia Reed was named tournament “MVP” and “Best Attacker” and Mallary McFadden was named tournament “Best Server”.
