Wrestling defeated Tenafly at home on Wednesday night, 70-12 in their first dual meet of the season.  Twelve Hawks wrestlers won their matches, 11 of them by pin to get the team off to a 1-0 start on the year.  Winning bouts for River Dell were Dylan Mitchell, DJ Tirelli, Danny Lynch, John McLaughlin, Brendan Campbell, Cenzo Cariddi, Nick Siegel, Tyler Kallansee, Andrew Pohl, Nick Baranello, John Buller and Lenny Smith.  During the holiday break the team will compete in the BCCA Holiday Tournament at Rockland Community College on 12/29 and 12/30.

Boys Basketball won their second game of the week last night beating Ramapo at home by a score 54-47.  The Hawks improved to 2-1 on the season with the win.  Sean Boland led the scoring with 15 points and Tim Barnes had 12.  Ben Orth, John Budka and Ryan Duran all contributed with 9 points each.  The team will play against Elmwood Park at Bergenfield in the first round of that Holiday Tournament on Tuesday, 12/27 at 4 pm.

Indoor Track competed in the Spiked Shoe at the Armory Track Center in New York City this past Monday.  The boys and girls had several placers led by the 2nd place finish of the girls 4X4 team of Sam Schleiger, Melissa Gibbons, Paige Fernandez and Jamie Woods.

Girls Basketball will be home for the holidays, hosting their annual Holiday Tournament at River Dell on 12/26, 12/28 and 12/30 with 4 games each day at 12, 1:45, 3:30 and 5:15 pm.  The Hawks will play Secaucus on Monday, 12/26 at 5:15 pm in the first round.

Ice Hockey will host the Charles Housley Memorial Tournament at the Ice House in Hackensack on 12/26 and 12/28.  River Dell will take on Hackensack in the first round on 12/26 at 3 pm.
