Girls and Boys Basketball are both HOME tonight in the first round of the NJSIAA State Sectional tournament. The girls beat Pope John last Thursday, 45-41 to improve to 18-8 on the season. The boys have compiled a 13-12 record.
Tonight the girls will take on Pascack Hills at 5 pm. The boys will follow against Kinnelon at 7 pm in the Upper Gym.
Wrestlers that placed in the top 3 in their respective weight classes in the District tournament competed in the Regional tournament this past weekend at Hackensack. Three Hawks wrestlers placed in the top 3 in their respective weight classes at the Regional tournament and advanced to the STATE tournament in Atlantic City this weekend. DJ Tirelli (113 lbs.), Nick Baranello (182 lbs.) and Lenny Smith (220 lbs.) all placed 2nd in the Regions and will begin wrestling this Friday night in AC in the individual state tournament.
