Boys & Girls Indoor Track competed in the Big North Conference, Patriot Division Championships this past Sunday night at the Armory Track Center in New York City.  The girls finished second and boys third.  Individual champions for River Dell included; Matt Koh (shotput), Paige Fernandez (1000m) and Emily Croonquist (1600m).  Other place winners in the Top 3 in their respective events were; Chris Bang, Craig Marulis, Austin Berninger, Brandon Jurasin, Calvin Hartman, Melissa Gibbons, Jamie Woods, Laura Oh, Lana Weekes, Steph Zaccaria, Bridget Brindley, Girls 4X400 relay and 4X800 relay and Boys 4X400 relay.

Wrestling has improved their record to 12-1 with 3 victories on Saturday.  The Hawks defeated host school Hasbrouck Heights/Wood-Ridge 48-24, Ridgefield Park 61-18 and Lyndhurst/North Arlington 74-0.  The team is ranked #7 in Bergen County and among Group II schools in NJ by the Star-Ledger.  Tomorrow night the Hawks are HOME vs. Pascack Valley at 7 pm in an important Patriot Division matchup.  On Friday night we host Hackensack at 7 pm.  On Saturday, 1/28 we host a tri meet with Fair Lawn and Lodi paying a visit.

 

Boys & Girls Swimming competed in the Bergen County Championships on Sunday.  Liam Oberlander placed third in two events to earn Honorable Mention All-County status.  The teams swim against Indian Hills tonight at 5:30 pm at the Wyckoff Y with a share of the Patriot Division title on the line for the girls team.

 

Girls Basketball is now 8-5 after putting together a 6 game winning streak.  The team beat Dwight Morrow at home last week 57-34.  The girls play at Indian Hills tonight and return home for a game vs. Mahwah this week on Thursday, 1/26 at 7 pm.  The girls are ranked #15 in North Jersey by The Record.

 

Boys Basketball defeated Dwight Morrow last Thursday on the road, 64-49.  Tim Barnes had 20 points for the Hawks.

The team is now 7-7 and will play HOME tonight vs. Indian Hills at 7 pm.
